DON ECKER
Research Director / UFO Magazine

 

   Don Ecker has been the Director of Research for UFO Magazine since 1988. He is married to UFO Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Vicki Cooper Ecker.  A medically retired law enforcement officer, he has put a skeptical but honest eye on the UFO subject. In 1991 he broke the Soviet Phobos 2 story on CNN, and in 1992 he broke the STS 48 shuttle encounter on NBC and CNN.

   During the 1990’s he wrote the “Whistleblower” series for UFO Magazine detailing the stories and cases of the likes of John Lear, Bob Lazar, Bill Cooper and Lee Graham.

 

   Ecker hosted the critically acclaimed radio program “UFOs Tonite!” and “Strange Daze” for six years where he interviewed and discussed all the important personalities and cases on-going in the UFO research field. He is acknowledged as an international expert having appeared at UFO conferences both in the United States and Europe, and appearing on television nationally in
the U.S., Japan, Europe, Australia and the Russian CIS.
